Publisher’s Letter – Atlanta — The Place To Be!

ATLANTA – THE PLACE TO BE!

Some call it the New Black Hollywood, others claim it as the Apple of the South.  The city recognized in the 60’s for being too busy to hate is now the ideal place for Black folks to thrive.  Having spent some time there as a student in the 90’s at Clark Atlanta University’s MBA program, I watched a city on the rise as it prepared for the 1996 Olympic Games.  Ever since that event, Atlanta has just continued to grow immensely.

We wanted to turn the spotlight on this great city and some of the extraordinary people who make it shine. Whether through the Afrofunk musical movement led by Rahbi, the fight for social justice spearhead by Representative Park Cannon, or the innovative designs of Funique Fashions by Keith Jaki’ Arrington, the city appears to be at the forefront for what’s hot.

As the world enters a post-COVID phase, Atlanta looks more and more like the place to be. So, if you dare to dream, get to Atlanta and make it happen!

Together, we can make a difference!
