We have spent much of the recent past rightfully focused on COVID-19, conflicts and wars, other health and social issues, and now recently Monkeypox (MPX). Still, for nearly four decades, HIV/AIDS has impacted individuals, families, and communities globally and in the United States.

National Marriage Day is celebrated on the second Friday of June each year. This is a day to help build a culture of life and love that begins with supporting marriage and the family. We might consider adding this date along with Valentine’s Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and birthdays as a perfect occasion to make that proposal to someone special. Whatever day you choose to pop the question however is the perfect day to initiate your happily ever after. This issues couple celebrated their 1-year wedding anniversary on July 3rd. Cheers Guys!

When esteemed anesthesiologist Dr. Otis Thrash Hammonds purchased an Eastlake Victorian home in Atlanta’s historic West End neighborhood in 1979, he was looking for a showplace.

The construction of the original portion of the house he bought occurred in 1857 and marked the beginning of the West End’s period of significance, according to the National Register of Historic Places.

Thousands of African American women and men have succumbed to the ravages of HIV/AIDS since it was first identified in December of 1981.

In June of 2021, a monument was unveiled in Los Angeles to remember those who have transitioned and to celebrate those who have fought tirelessly to end the epidemic for the past 40 years and counting.
